A Liberian-owned managed IT services provider

Global IT Firm is a Liberian-owned Managed IT Services Provider (MSP) based on 20th Street, Sinkor, Monrovia. We serve organisations across Africa. Our field operations and completed projects so far are in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea and Guinea-Bissau, and our clients include government, banks, NGOs, health facilities, schools and private businesses.

Philemon Saye Gbengan I founded the company on 2 June 2017 as a small IT consultancy. Today we offer a full range of managed IT services, packaged solutions for each sector and software products of our own.

In practice, you have one contract and one point of contact, and we are accountable for the whole of your IT.

Philemon Saye Gbengan I is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Global IT Firm, a Liberian-owned managed IT services provider. He set up the company in Monrovia on 2 June 2017 because he believed Liberian organisations should be able to buy high-quality IT services from a Liberian firm.

Under his leadership the firm has grown from a small IT consultancy into an enterprise ICT provider offering managed services, industry solutions and its own products to organisations across Africa. Clients include government agencies, international NGOs, banks and other financial institutions, health organisations and businesses of every size.

Philemon sees technology as central to national development and puts particular effort into training young Liberians in IT. One of his main projects is GIT EduLab, which installs solar-powered, zero-client computer labs, starting with private high schools in Harper City, Maryland County.

GIT EduLab Lab-as-a-Service launched
Global IT Firm launches GIT EduLab, a Lab-as-a-Service model that puts solar-powered, air-conditioned vCloudPoint zero-client computer labs in private high schools. The first target area is Harper City, Maryland County, Liberia.

AI, analytics & proprietary products
Launched the Intelligence and advisory pillar, covering AI automation, RPA and business intelligence for our clients. Development of proprietary GIT products (GIT ServiceDesk, GIT HealthRecord, GIT ClassRoom) began.
Flagship
2022
Government & NGO sector expansion
International NGO projects delivered. Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace deployments added to the portfolio. Cloud migration programmes launched for enterprise clients.
Digital
2021
Software development & fintech integration
Built out the Digital Solutions division for custom web and mobile apps, ERP implementations and payment integration work, including integration with IIPS, the Central Bank of Liberia's interbank payment system. That work became the basis of GIT PayBridge (coming soon).
Resilience
2020
Cybersecurity division & remote work solutions
Launched the cybersecurity practice and SOC capabilities. When the pandemic hit, we moved our clients to remote work quickly, setting up VPNs, cloud collaboration tools and secure remote access.
Service growth
2019
Managed IT services & help desk division
Launched the Managed IT Services division with business-hours help desk support. First long-term managed service contracts signed with NGOs and financial institutions.
Expansion
2018
Incorporation and VSAT services
The company is incorporated as Global IT Firm, Inc. with the Liberia Business Registry in December 2018, and expands into satellite connectivity and VSAT services for remote and rural sites beyond the reach of fixed networks.
